Goals

Some of activities in our foundation at below

• To provide an opportunity for Baklava and Sweet Producers’ Association members to develop their business. We want to organize numerous wide education programs and through advisory system Baktad wants to be guide for its beloved members.

• To inform our beloved members about new technological development, laws and regulations, trends and developments and etc.

• To organize social events to create unity and encourage our members to cooperation.

• To attend both national and international fairs to inform people about our members’ activities

• To organize baklava festival both national and international consecutively, organize numerous mastership competitions within festival and rewarding people who made a contribution on Baklava.

• To sustain long life qualified Baklava production, Baktad cooperated with Ministry of Education to organize education programs for youth generation and certificate them.

An important note from Baktad: One of the biggest problems of our sector is trouble of finding employee who has knowledge, respect, ability and Baklava love. In last couple of years people who don’t know anything about Baklava start to appear and introduce himself as Baklava master and furthermore he can even have a certificate taken by some unapproved foundation. For Baktad, Baklava certificate can only be delivered to potential Baklava masters who passed 2 exams both social and practical. In social exam, authorities should judge his theoretical knowledge about Baklava. In practical exam, authorities should judge his preparing ability of dough, presentation of Baklava and its taste. If you wonder why we want exam that hard? Because only way that we can give its deserved dignity to Baklava. Because our occupation is not easy to learn and noone can learn it in a short time. Before being Baklava maestro some essentials are needed like love in Baklava, faith for your job, raising side of another maestro and taking advantage of his experience and knowledge. As a result, prospective person who will be master of Baklava should have respected education and pass from exams by prove himself in knowledge and love. And without any reference, he can’t cross any other Baklava brand because its remarkable rule to transfer our job to the next generations.
